After a long battle with diabetes and losing a leg to the dreaded disease, veteran Reggae singer Jackie Brown passed away yesterday (Nov 12) at his home in Queens, New York. Jackie Brown was 68 years old.
The Portland born singer had his breakthrough hit in 1972 with the Sonia Pottinger produced “One Night Of Sin” which topped the JBC Chart. In 1978 the self-produced “Little Miss Hard To Get” topped the RJR chart. After migrating to the US, he gained another big hit in 1984 with “Sweet Music Man” During his career, Jackie Brown had recorded several albums and singles for various producers.
