Singer Hubert Lee, who had hits with the legendary group, The Clarendonians, died yesterday, March 31, at his home in Hartford, Connecticut. Lee was 75.
According to family spoke person, Natasha Lee (Hubert’s niece) she got a text message about 8:00 am from Jamaica, that Lee’s younger brother Lansford Scafe, had just lost his battle with cancer. She then made several calls to Hubert to tell him of his brother’s passing. After not getting him, she then asked a family friend to make a “welfare check” on Lee. He was found dead in his bedroom. Natasha says she is certain that Lee never heard that his younger brother had died.
