This is a ’90s throwback we wholeheartedly support: Brandy and Monica are collaborating again for a new single.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two R&B stars have reunited on a song called “It All Belongs To Me.” That title to us sounds like an apt follow-up to their 1998 hit “The Boy Is Mine,” but THR doesn’t specify.

When “The Boy Is Mine” was released in 14 years ago, it stayed on the charts for 13 weeks, became the year’s top-selling single, and won a Grammy for best R&B performance by a duo or group.

If Brandy and Monica can rekindle some of that magic on their new effort, the future’s looking bright.

“It All Belongs To Me” will be on Monica’s upcoming album, “New Life,” which will arrive on March 6. Those who were always on Brandy’s side in the dating dilemma should also find the song on Brandy’s upcoming album, said to be scheduled for a spring release.

The single itself will debut on February 6.

In the meantime, let’s flash back to 1998, shall we?
