With summer being the busiest period for many carriers, American Airlines has added extra flights to accommodate passengers flying between the Miami International Airport and Norman Manley International, Kingston.

The additional service will operate between April 4 and August 20, 2012, bringing to four, the total number of daily nonstop flights between Miami and Kingston during the summer season.

The flights will operated with a 160-seat Boeing 737 aircraft.

“With its beautiful scenery and rich culture, Kingston is a very populardestination, especially in the summer months,” said Peter Dolara, American’s Senior Vice President for Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.

“We are pleased to offer our customers more options for their travel to and from Jamaica this season with the addition of a fourth daily service between Kingston and Miami.”

Here is the schedule for the new summer service between Miami and Kingston.
The flight from Miami to Kingston departs daily at 4:45 p.m. and arrives at 5:25 p.m.

The Kingston to Miami flight departs daily at 8:45 a.m. and arrives at 11:40 a.m.

In addition to this seasonal flight, American offers three daily round tripsbetween Miami and Kingston year-round.

American also serves Montego Bay.
