REGGAE singer Sizzla is set to perform in Stockholm, Sweden tonight after his show, which was previously cancelled after gay rights protests in that country, was put back on.

Sweden’s news site The Local reported today that due to popular demand, Sizzla has been given the go ahead to perform, even though there are still protests by gay rights groups.

The concert was initially cancelled earlier this month when event organisers acknowledged the public outcry and decided that Sizzla’s messages were in breach of their code of conduct, The Local reported.

Members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community have said his lyrics advocate violence towards gays.

However, members of the Protect Reggae Coalition claim that Sizzla censored his own material while on his last tour, The Local said.
