International reggae band Third World, did not make it to the Barbados Reggae Festival on Sunday.
Publicist Stacey Bethel and bass player Richard Daley extended apologies to the organisers.
“We were extremely disappointed that our fans did not get to see us perform. This is something that has never happened to us before, and we will ensure it doesn’t again,” Daley was quoted as saying in a press statement published on stabroeknews.com.
According to the site the bass player said Third World had performed at a sporting event the night before and head straight to the airport after. However they were unable to catch a flight to the Eastern caribbean island.
The group were slated to perform on the final night at Farley Hill National Park.
