WITH a first degree in biochemistry from the University of the West Indies, one would think that a laboratory would where he want to be. However, gospel singer Kevin Downswell prefers winning souls for Christ through his music.
On June 1, the artist will be releasing his second album The Search Continues at Eastwood Park Road New Testament Church in St Andrew.

“Various songs were written over a four-year period,” he said, sharing that each track was inspired by difference experiences.
Downswell recalled what lead to the writing of the track God Is Moving.
According to him, he was by his window when he heard the voice of the Lord saying: “In my church, a lot of people are discouraged. They are not seeing things come through in a particular time. Many are doubtful and straying from me. Just remind them that I am still moving and I moving bigger than they can see with their eyes.”
Downswell said his mission is to be a force in the gospel music industry, that the message can be heard. The artiste also hopes to has a similar album launch in Mandeville, Negril, MoBay, Portland, and Ocho Rios.
“It’s from my heart to theirs. It my way of giving back to them for the support they have given me over the years,” he said.
