HORACE Mitchell aka Spechinal is hoping to follow the success of Claredonians such as Cocoa Tea, Freddie McGregor, and more recently I-Octane, who have made it in the music industry.

Cognisant of the reality that the music business is hard to break into, he takes inspiration from artists such as Beenie Man and others.

SPECHINAL… its all about making that connection with the public

Spechinal says his main aim right now is to perfect his lyrical and performing skills. “It’s all about making that musical connection with future fans while keeping the message positive,” he said.

The up-and-coming artist says one of his desires is to change the framework of the Jamaican music industry and one day spread his positive message to the world.

Last year, Spechinal released two tracks Cool Down and Ambition which earned him some amount of buzz. This year he is hoping to create an even bigger impact with the single Cuss Mi — his take on conflicts in a relationship.

Signed to the Rasta Camp label, Spechinal hails from Four Paths and is a past student of Denbigh High School.
