Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest will this year celebrate its 20th anniversary, and a release has indicated Pepsi-Cola Jamaica is proud to renew its sponsorship of the event.

Pepsi, in 2011, signed to a cutting-edge deal with the organisers of Sumfest as the exclusive non-alcoholic beverage supplier for the festivalfor three years. Carlo Redwood, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica’s marketing manager, said he was pleased to be associated with an event of such a high calibre.

“Pepsi-Cola is known to be associated with music globally, and now it is a great pleasure to be a part of Jamaica’s own Reggae Sumfest for yet another year. Our partnership with Reggae Sumfest 2012 will be even more thrilling as this year we commemorate Jamaica’s 50th,” said Redwood.

As the exclusive non-alcoholic beverage sponsor for this year’s events, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica will be providing products such as Aqua Essential water, assorted Tropicana juice drinks, Pepsi and Ting.

This summer is also big for Pepsi in another way.

The drink company will unveil a Mega Music Campaign, which will feature a legendary international music icon.

“Reggae Sumfest 2012 will be the platform that Pepsi will use to deliver a unique and groundbreaking experience for patrons themed around this icon. Details on this once-in-a-lifetime summer campaign will be unveiled at the official launch on Friday, July 13. We guarantee that it will be an experience to remember,” Redwood promised.

The campaign is expected to involve fantastic promotions and events as well as an interactive experience at Reggae Sumfest.

Reggae Sumfest was launched on July 1 on the waterfront, downtown Kingston.
