Christafari announced the release of their new worship album titled A Roots Revival. A Roots Revival is their second reggae worship album.

Christafari has six shows lined up this weekend. The band aims to make it in the top five on the Billboard Reggae Charts. Mark Mohr and Christafari stated onhttp://www.gospelreggae.com: “For years I’ve been saying that I am more about hearts than charts and ministry over industry. But reggae is notorious for worshiping a false god, and it would be incredible to have the first Christian worship album to ever grace these secular charts. It hasn’t been done before and you know how I love to blaze a trail!”

The band recently returned from their Hawaiian tour. Christafari played 17 shows in 19 days on 3 islands. The tour created an opportunity to giveaway hundreds of Bibles and the formation saw around 300 people being saved.

Christafari reflects on their Hawaiian tour, “It was also a HUGE time for spiritual growth for many of the band members. God is doing some incredible things in and through the band. ”

Mark Mohr and wife Avion welcomed their first baby Ziza just a few months ago. Ziza became part of the family, part of the band and touring, and part of recording the new album. During the recording process, Mark commented on http://www.gospelreggae.com, “It would have been great to have the album finished before the tour. That was our initial plan, but recording with an infant in the room is not as productive as we had expected. You’ve heard the phrase “Man plans, God laughs”, I say “Parents plan, Baby laughs”.”

Christafari’s worship album is now finished and available at iTunes.
