JAHIANT… excited about his upcoming solo album titled Life is the Limit

Jahiant, whose real name is Markland Campbell, said the has some inspiring tracks including No More War which was written as a result of Jamaica’s high rate of violence.

“A majority of entertainers are not putting out much interest in the work anymore. There is no one to be blamed except the producers, artists, and disc jocks. It is them that feed the people with music,” he said.

In his mid-30s, the artist is also the voice behind Inna mi yard and Why Dem Stressing Me.

The singjay — who was recently in Jamaica promoting his project — said there is still room for improvement as it relates to the promotion of reggae music in Canada.

“Reggae music isn’t promoted much in Canada. You hardly hear reggae playing on the Canadian radio station. Reggae music in Canada is more supported by Europeans and Jamaicans not Canadians,” he said.

He, however, hopes that will change in the near future.
