Ghanaian Reggae dancehall music is expected to be given an exciting boost with the introduction of the Reggae Dancehall Awards (RDA), organizers have announced.

Already the Awards facebook page has gone live with subtle details of the event pending the roll out of a documentary on the evolvement of Reggae/Dancehall music in Ghana and a 13 part TV show titled the Reggae Dancehall diaries which will seek to not only to increase awareness about the event but also show to TV viewers the process involved in the awards scheme.

Commenting on this development, a spokesperson of the organizers stated that, the Reggae/Dancehall Awards (RDA) will be Ghana’s first music awards dedicated to rewarding excellence in a music genre that has spawned other exciting music genres, Reggae Dancehall.
