Dancehall deejay Konshens has moved into new territory, teaming with prolific house music DJ/producers Erick Morillo and Sympho Nympho on the song, Murder the Dance Floor.

The track contains elements of reggae and dancehall and is intended to break Konshens in the lucrative house music arena.

KONSHENS … moves into new territory

Konshens, who has built a strong dancehall following with songs like Winner and Gal a Bubble, released his second album, Mental Maintenance in February.

Erick Morillo came to prominence in the early 1990s with hit songs he produced for the Strictly Rhythm label. These include Can You Feel It and I Like to Move It which he produced under the pseudonym Reel 2 Real, which was fronted by the Mad Stuntman from Trinidad and Tobago.

He has since established his Subliminal label which has produced hits for a number of house music artistes including Jocelyn Brown and Deborah Cooper.

Subliminal Records, which also produces for Sympho Nympho, is recognised as one of the top house music labels.
