UP-and-coming artist Ghetto Star is eager to make his mark in the music business.

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Rhoee Johnson, said from an early age he knew what his calling was.

GHETTO STAR… performed at Taurus Bash held in St Elizabeth

“At 14, my older brother called me onto a stage during a performance and handed him a mic. Since then I knew what I wanted to do,” he said.

Ghetto Star, however, got his break last year when he hooked up with Kaye Rowe from Tavyan Chin Record label and released his first single Happy Days.

He has followed that up with Baby Girl for Ras Correl and Sweet Music.

“I know it’s not going to be easy. But I believe, if I continue to record positive tracks and do my thing, my day will come,” he said.

In May this year, he performed at Taurus Bash held in St Elizabeth and gained some positive feedback.

“I am looking forward to delivering at bigger crowds … I’m definitely not giving up,” he said.
