The historic “Sounds of Reggae Concert” featuring international reggae superstars ALI CAMPBELL (UB40), MAXI PRIEST, king of Lovers rock BERES HAMMOND and multi Platinum selling superstar SHAGGY will kick off with a “Social Media Meet & Greet” on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 (8pm) at Footprints Cafe, 1521 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Special invited guest for the “Meet & Greet” will be SHAGGY.

 

The “Meet & Greet” will provide the media and patrons an opportunity to get important information about the “Sounds of Reggae Concert,” the performers and the brand new 15,000 capacity Barclays Center – home of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. The concert will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

“I am confident that the Sound of Reggae concert will be one of the best reggae concerts ever staged in the tri-state area” event producer Mr. George Crooks of Jammins Entertainment said.

“I am particularly excited about the lineup. The acts we have booked represents the best of reggae and they are all eager to deliver a spectacular concert for fans. We at Jammins Entertainment also feel privileged to have the opportunity to present the very first reggae concert at this brand new facility in Brooklyn.”

Crooks said the concert will have added significance given that Jamaica is still celebrating its 50th anniversary of independence this year.

Ali Campbell, the legendary voice of UB40 is eagerly anticipating his performance.

“I can’t wait to be back in the U.S., performing on December 12th at the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. I’m truly humbled to be a part of the first reggae concert at this venue. Can’t wait to see you all there!”

Doors to the event will open at 6:00PM with show time at 7:30PM sharp.
