Guinness Jamaica is in the final stages of preparatory work for the Arthur Guinness Celebrations to be held at the National Indoor Sports Centre tonight.
With no time left, the premium brand and the production crew of Team Solutions, which will be executing the venue set-up and stage production for the event, are working overtime to make tonight’s celebration even better than previous years.
“Team Solutions, through the Arthur Guinness Day Celebration has always produced a unique venue set-up and, as usual, we are working along with the team at Guinness Jamaica to increase the ‘wow factor’ of our execution. With this being our third year on board for this huge celebration, we are working diligently and creatively in efforts to raise the bar of the Arthur Guinness Day Concert,” said Martin Lewis of Team Solutions.
This now-annual event was first celebrated in 2009 when the popular stout became 250 years old.
Jamaica is the only island in the region with a major event for this occasion. As such, this year’s celebration will be broadcast across a total of 55 countries worldwide.
“This is going to be one of the best Arthur Guinness Day celebrations across the world. Jamaica has always put on a stellar show to celebrate the life and legacy of Guinness founder Sir Arthur, and, this year, there will be fireworks from Popcaan, Sizzla, Destra, Kerwin Dubois and, of course, Mavado who was recently added to the line-up,” said LeVaughn Flynn, brand PR manager.
Honouring heroes
In addition to the stellar entertainment planned, Guinness Jamaica will also be honouring 10 community heroes at the National Indoor Sports Centre, who will be assisted with their social development initiatives by the Arthur Guinness Fund. More than $3 million will be spent on the social programmes.
“A toast to Arthur is planned for 5:59 p.m. so come out early and raise a toast to Arthur while taking in an amazing production,” said Flynn.
