“It was amazing for me to see the kids using old instruments to play with and didn’t allow that to be a stumbling block. You already have great singers and musicians here,” Rohan Marley was quoted as saying.
The headphones are made from recycled and “sustainable” materials in colours red, gold and green. It is reputed to have a unique sound and bass associated with the Bob Marley’s reggae. They are named after the reggae star’s songs including Redemption Song, Stir It Up, and Exodus.
The headphones were launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, United States in January of this year.
“House of Marley is here to contribute in the education and promotion of music within schools because it forms an integral part in the development and expansion of the mind. We want to build a nice acoustic venue for them where they can be able to practice music with state of the art equipment,” Marley said.
