Conscious reggae entertainer Rippa Jackson is shifting gears as he prepares for the upcoming holiday season. The talented Rastafarian singer who blazed onto the local music scene earlier this year with the riveting single titled Help Someone, is in full promotion mode. He recently released two brand new singles, Too Much Dying and When You Cry.
He also released the supporting music video for Too Much Dying and a video for another single that was released a few months ago titled Jah You Save Me.
Since the release of Help Someone which cracked the top ten of the Jamaica Music Countdown Top Twenty-five Reggae Singles Chart, he has maintained a hectic promotional schedule. Over the last nine months he has been travelling frequently from New York to Jamaica to do the promotional rounds.
“Sometimes people ask me Rippa why you travel to Jamaica so often and I just laugh because Jamaica is my home and it’s the home of reggae music and I am a reggae artist, I have to come to yard and promote my music. Jamaica is very important to me on many levels, it’s not just about my music career, it’s a about my livity, the youths and the elders in my community in Gregory Park, Portmore,” said Rippa Jackson.
For the remainder of the year Rippa plans to kick things up a notch or two as he plans to drop the video for When You Cry before Christmas. He will also be doing a number of shows during the holiday season.
