Mojo Morgan of the Morgan Heritage band has signed with Krian Music Group, an American independent record company.

Morgan has been signed to Krian’s parent company, The Royalty Network, since 2006. The new agreement will see Krian releasing his upcoming album next year.

MOJO… My (latest) single New Dawn has become more relevant in my personal life

Mojo, in an email response to Splash, said being with a publishing company is more than “collecting money on behalf of an artiste”.

He added: “A publishing company should work to get an artiste’s music placed in movies, on television and mediums beyond the normal outlets of promoting and performing music,” he said.

For Mojo (born Memmalatel Morgan) the deal is important because of its longterm benefits. He went through a life-threatening illness in November which prompted a new outlook on life.

“My (latest) single New Dawn has become more relevant in my personal life. I hope to provide listeners with a vehicle to always look on the brighter side of a bad situation and the song gives me a second chance at doing just that,” he said.
