WESTERN BUREAU:
Residents of Woodgrove near Wait-a-bit in Trelawny are in deep shock this afternoon following the early morning killing of two children by their father.

The man then hanged himself at their home.

The children have been identified as two-year-old Trisanne and four-year-old Tessanne Mullings.

The father was Kenville Mullings.

Our sources say only yesterday the man had a dispute with the children’s mother, who later packed up and left the home saying she was going back to her mother’s house in Coleyville, Manchester.

It is reported that the man went to Coleyville and tried to persuade the woman to return home.

However she refused.

The relatives of the man who killed himself and his two daughters in Trelawny are in shock and disbelief.

His sister told our news centre that the family is trying to find answers as to what could have driven him to commit such an attack.

According to the woman, her brother was a loving man who adored his children.

It is understood that the incident has traumatised the children in the Trelawny community of Woodgrove.

One resident says several of them did not go to school today.
