Earth Storm recording artist Jah Currant is finally getting the big break he has been working for since he began his music career in the late 1990s.
“I’ve been doing music for a while now, I started out in the business by recording for labels like Cell Block Records and Big Ship records in the 90s, and it has been quite a journey, a really rough one. If I wasn’t strong I would have given up, but I love music too much to give it up.”
The talented singjay who hails from the eastern Parish of St. Thomas has been working under the guidance of his childhood friend Morland Williams of Earth Storm Records over a year now and so far this relationship has been fairly fruitful.

“Thank God I didn’t lose the faith, last year I began working with Morland Williams and things have been going very good for my career since then,” said Jah Currant.
His first release for the label titled Daddy Now which was released last year was warmly received both locally and abroad.
“Daddy now opened up a lot of doors for me; a lot of people really love that song because of its conscious message, it got a lot of airplay in Jamaica and overseas.”
Jah Currant and his manager are now looking to take his career to new heights with the release of two brand new singles Bad Man World and She Got Me Waiting. Both songs will be included on his debut album which is currently in the works.
