American film-maker and music video director Rik Cordero recently shot and directed Rayvon and Red Fox’s video No Other Like You.
A nominee for Video Director of the Year in the 2009 BET Awards, Cordero was named Best Director at the 2007 No Exit Music Video festival. His project, Inside a Change, was named Best Film at the 2009HBO New York International Latino Film Festival.
This is Cordero’s second time directing a video for a Jamaican act. He has directed videos, including Jay Sean’s Back to Love, Jay Z’s Blue Magic Trailer, The Fire by The Roots, and Chain Music by American rapper Wale.
In a release to the media, Musical Masquerade, the producer of the track No Other Like You, said the video shoot was completed over a week ago and fans of the track should be pleased with the finished product.
“The video was shot over a week ago in Brooklyn, New York. The concept is based on the song, and it showcases different types of females and their uniqueness. It shows that even a simple female walking down the street can be beautiful and unique no matter where you’re from,” Musical Masquerade outlined.
