Getting Over The Storm features Duncan Campbell on lead vocals. He replaced his brother, Ali Campbell, as lead singer since his departure from the group in 2008.
Like previous albums, the group’s original work is complemented with cover versions. Among them are country and western standard Getting Over The Storm.
According to the website www.music-news.com, the Red Red Wine singers said country music is very much part of the Caribbean fabric.
“It’s an honest music, just like reggae,” said Brian Travers, the outfit’s sax player.
Formed in 1978, UB40 remains one of the most successful reggae groups of all time. With sales of 80 million records, they are best known for songs like Red Red Wine, Can’t Help Falling in Love, I Got You Babe, and Food for Thought.
