BY HOWARD CAMPBELL—
FAMED rhythm duo Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare recently completed a reggae version of Rain Drops Keep Falling on my Head with Grammy-winning singer Dionne Warwick.
Dunbar says the song was recorded in Los Angeles. It was produced by Warwick’s son Damon Elliott, known for his work with big pop acts like Pink.

Rain Drops Keep Falling on my Head was originally recorded by singer B J Thomas in 1969. Co-written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach, it was used in the 1969 hit movie Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid.
Warwick has had a big following in Jamaica since the 1960s. Her big hits then included Walk On By, Do You Know The Way to San Jose and A House is Not a Home, all co-written by David and Bacharach.
She performed in Jamaica this year at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.
