Though he announced himself 12 years ago with the anthem Virtuous Woman, roots singer Warrior King says there is more to him than hit singles.
He credits steady touring in Europe and North America for keeping his career vibrant. He continues that trend when he performs in Germany at the Open Air Almsischer show in Ubersee.

Recently, he spoke to the Jamaica Observer about the state of his career and re-emergence of roots-reggae.
“I feel honoured to know that I am part of a rejuvenation process which is like medicine,” he said. “It (music) is like a tool, a weapon. With every weapon comes responsibility, so my aim is to use it to uplift not oppress.”
The diminutive vocalist broke through in 2001 with the radio favourites Virtuous Woman and Never Go Where Pagans Go.
Those songs, he notes, “are very much in demand all over the world. Those are songs that made me who I am today.”
