An Australian crowd thought Rude Boy singer Rihanna was just plain rude when she showed up a full hour and 20 minutes late for a show Thursday night.

She was supposed to be onstage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre at 9 p.m., The Australian reported, but that didn’t happen. Some fans even gave up, choosing to leave instead.

“not impressed with rhianna at all…….left concert without seeing her and she was over an hour and a half late….” tweeted Twitter user @leahmac677.

When she finally took the stage, she was greeted by boos instead of cheers from the fed-up audience.

Though she did mention something about taking “a long, long time to get back to Australia” — she had been due in from Perth, Australia, where she played a show Tuesday night that started 40 minutes late — there was no apology or further explanation, according to the newspaper.

“Adelaide what the (eff) … I’m finally here … and I now remember how crazy my Australian fans are,” she said to open the show.

But once she got going, it seems much of the crowd was willing to put her tardy arrival behind them. “The masses started jumping from their seats turning the planned pop concert into a dance concert,” The Australian reports.

Rihanna is currently on her Diamonds World Tour.
