JAMAICAN singer Tessanne Chin scored another win on her journey through NBC’s talent show The Voice aired last night.
Chin, who wowed all four judges during the blind auditions broadcast two weeks ago, went into the battle rounds of the competition and was pitted against her Adam Levine-coached teammate Donna Allen performing Emeli Sandé’s Next To Me.

Prior to the performance, Allen heaped praises on Chin, calling her “a phenomenal vocalist”.
As she prepared to take to the stage, the Hideaway singer stated: “I’m not trying to out-sing Donna, it’s not gonna happen. I want to win this for anyone who has a dream and wants to make something of themself.”
The two singers then went at it, each trying to convince their coach, in whose hands the decision rested, to keep them on his team.
Chin utilised range and tone, while Allen stuck to raw power and passion to produce an electrifying performance.
In their comments, two of the other judges — Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green — named Chin their winner, while Blake Shelton gave the battle to Allen.
It was then up to Levine to make the announcement.
“You both know how I feel about you. Tess, you make everything so effortless. Donna, you were pretty astonishing,” he said before naming Chin as his winner.
An obviously emotional Chin thanked Allen for making her a better vocalist. “I’m a blubbering mess,” she said, as she fought back tears.
