Hollywood actor Danny Glover is set to be recognised for his long and distinguished career in film at the Bahamas Film Festival.
The 67-year-old film star will be honoured with the Career Achievement Award at the event that takes place from December 5 to 16.
Glover, who appeared in such films as Lethal Weapon, Dreamgirls, and Predator 2, will be on Paradise Island to receive the award on December 6 at the Atlantis Theatre.
Festival founder and executive director Leslie Vanderpool said: ‘Danny Glover is an extraordinary man whose accomplishments in Hollywood are equalled by his humanitarian achievements.

Aside from his film career, Glover has devoted much of his time to humanitarian issues – he served as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nation’s Development Programme from 1998 to 2004, and is currently a UNICEF ambassador.
