AFTER being off dancehall’s radar for nearly two years, singjay Lisa Hyper said she is back in the studio working on her debut album.
The 15-track album is entitled Life Change. Produced by Jam 2 Productions, the set will be released during the first quarter of next year.

“I deliberately took a break to focus on personal issues. Now I am back, it’s just work for me. The name of the album Life Change is very fitting and self explanatory, as the world already know my ‘story’,” Hyper told the Jamaica Observer.
Life Change is the title track, a collaboration effort with Queen of the Dancehall Lady Saw.
A former member of the Vybz Kartel-led Portmore Empire, Lisa Hyper (given name is Felecia Gooden) now works independently.
She said, like other females in the industry, she faces many hurdles.
“We are going to always face challenges. Men in the industry use and abuse us. It is not only entertainers who want to rip us off… If we are not sleeping with producers, some don’t want to voice us,” she said.
Her latest releases include High, Body Fit, and Good Good Friday.
