RASTAFARIAN singjay Ibo Fire said he is determined to leave a positive print on the reggae scene. After years of trying to get a break in the industry, he is banking one of his latest release Hungry Days. “Hungry Days is not an attack on the wealthy or the politicians, but to the regular folks like myself. It is basically encouraging them to brace themselves for the tribulations and famine that is about to come. Life isn’t getting any easier,” he told The Jamaica Observer.

According to the singjay, the song has been receiving favourable responses.

Released in October, Hungry Days was produced by Paul Mullings of 12 to 12 Promotions.

Ibo Fire, whose given name is Livian Farquharson, hails from Crofts Hill in Clarendon. The 32-year-old told the Observer that he spent years honing his skills, but it was earlier this year that he got the opportunity to release his first track.

Among his other singles are Holding on, Shingling Sound and Overcome. The singjay is currently putting final touches to his five-track EP called Gateway. The compilation is expected to be released during the first week of January.
