Reggae Label Blood and Fire Records Relaunches

Blood and Fire Records was a reggae and dub record label founded in Manchester, England in 1994. They reissued roots reggae classics by King Tubby, the Congos, and many, many others. In recent years, the label has been inactive, but today, they’ve announced their relaunch in partnership with VP Records.

Their first release this year will be a limited 12″ of Gregory Isaacs’ 1978 track “Mr. Know It All”, which is out on Record Store Day (April 19). That’s the sleeve above.

According to a press release, Blood and Fire will re-release between 10 and 12 of its collections this year with additional content and new packaging. They’ll also launch a merch line. Steve Barrow, one of the co-founders of the label, will oversee the mastering, packaging, and compiling of future projects.
