SEEKING INVESTORS
The event is expected to bring together stakeholders from the public and private sectors to foster investment in the cultural and creative industries.
A fundamental objective of the symposium is to form a steering committee which will be charged to act on recommendations emerging from the symposium.
The steering committee will also identify strategies to improve the quality and competency of the music industry, as well as to persuade private- and public-sector companies to invest in the cultural and creative industries.
The symposium will be held March 28 and 29 and is sponsored by Jamaica Tourist Board, Digicel, Institute of Technology, Spanish Court Hotel, Scotiabank, KOOL 97 FM, and Fidelity Motors.
