Californian born, Samoan artist Jerry Afemata aka J Boog is the first Pacific reggae artist to have cracked the international commercial radio airwaves with his hit single Lets Do It Again in 2010. And since then J Boog has been a full time touring artist, released and recorded several EPs and albums and collaborated and it the biggest name in the reggae scene.

J BOOG is in New Zealand for Pacific leg of his Coldest Zone Tour, which includes the UAE, USA, Australia and the Pacific. J Boog is in NZ for one week with concerts in Wellington, Levin, New Plymouth, Gisborne and Tauranga, before heading to Australia, Solomon Islands and PNG.

While in New Zealand J Boog will be touring with a full band and Hawaiian artists Kiwini Vaitai and Siaosi, and NZ artist Majic and Israel Starr, and bands L-40, Soulovus and Dj Jayrasik.

Tour promoter Rob Coe-Tipene of Good Karma says, “I’m excited to be touring J Boog for the NZ leg of this tour. But more so to be bringing him to heart of Aotearoa, Pacific reggae is huge here, and quite often we miss out on bigger acts to the main centres”

Mr. Coe-Tipene says “We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to NZ reggae, but we don’t get artists of J BOOG’s caliber here very often”
