KINGSTON, Jamaica —
Team Jamaica Bickle (TJB), a sports organisation which provides support services for Caribbean athletes competing in the annual Penn Relays in Philadelphia, USA, will be establishing a medical and dental pavilion in honor of the late Cavahn McKenzie.
The St Jago athlete was representing Jamaica in the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association Cross Country Championships in Trinidad, when he collapsed and died at the end of his race on February 22.
Irwin Clare, CEO and founder of TJB said that the pavilion will be open to all Caribbean athletes participating in the Penn Relays.
The Penn Relays will take place April 22 to 26 at the University of Pennsylvania.
Clare was speaking to reporters at the Jamaica Observer’s Beechwood Avenue head office on Monday.
