Breaking into the international music scene is a top priority for roots reggae singer Dubkor.
The talented singer/musician is currently in the US doing promotion, and has done a number of performances in Alabama so far.
“You know we have to push the music to the four corners of the earth. Reggae music is for everyone, so we have to spread it. The reception in Alabama has been great so far, I’ve been doing acoustic sets and the people love it. I hope that next time, I will be able to travel with my band so that they can get to experience the full effect of my live performance,” he said.
Dubkor is looking forward to releasing a number of new singles including a remake of Dennis Brown’s classic So They Fight I.
“Since the start of the year, I have been in the studio doing a lot of work. Most of the songs that we are working on will be released on the next album,” said the artist.
Dubkor will return to the island later this month to continue work on his album.
