Empress Production recording artist Trapycal is getting ready for his musical breakthrough.

The talented singjay has been singing since he was little boy, but he didn’t take music serious until 2006. Since then he has recorded several singles, he has also performed a number of events across the island.

“You could say music is an inborn thing for me, it’s like I was born to sing, from as early as I can remember I’ve been singing. As I got older I decided to pursue a career in music, I actually started out in 2006. So far I have gained a lot of experience working in the studios and performing on events.”

The Yallahs High School alumni says Bounty Killer and Beenie Man are two of his main musical influences.

“When I was young I used to listen to one of my uncles who used to sing, he was my first influence, but as I grew older I gravitated to the music of Bounty Killer and Beenie Man. They are two very good recording artists and stage performers. I hope that one they I will be as successful as they are,” said Trapycal.

Trapycal is currently promoting a single titled Place Nah Run Right, on the Deano Dean label.

“This song is a very positive song, I think it has the potential to be a big hit, a lot of people tell me they love it. Right now I’m working hard to make a name in the music business, so I make sure that every song I do is something the people can relate to in a positive way.”

Trapycal will be one of the featured artistes on Summer Escapades on June 14th at Comfitanya Restaurant & Lounge in Kingston.
