Alovitch banking on Holiday—

AFTER years of waiting in the wings, up-and-coming singjay Alovitch said he has finally gotten his

big break.

The singjay, earlier this month, released his debut single Holiday — a collab effort with Propavitch. The track is produced by Smart Kid Records.

“Holiday” is

an infectious dance song with a killer hook paired with a great beat. It will have the listeners singing and dancing along. We all know that summer is known for the best parties which attracts tourists, and this song is fitting for the occasion,” said the 21-year-old, who hails from Clarendon.

Alovitch, whose real name is Alneish Cork, began his musical journey at 15 with childhood friends as part of a quintet called LG Squad. He said the squad performed at several community shows.

“I wanted to be a footballer but upon completing high school at Clarendon College, I was pulled to music as it surrounded me. There was always a dance or party in Clarendon. I was drawn by the many talents that came out the parish,” Alovitch told the Jamaica Observer.

Clarendon has produced several acts including reggae legend Toots Hibbert, Freddie McGregor, Cocoa Tea, the Blues Busters, Denroy Morgan, Barrington Levy, and I-Octane.

Alovitch is determined to add his name to this list.

“The only way the name Alovitch will be well known in the world music market is if I put in the work, and I intend on doing so and being inventive every time. I have no intention of giving up,” he said.
