KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica will be the first of three international destinations to receive flights from Southwest Airlines when the carrier begins international operations on July 1.

The first of three flights scheduled to arrive at the Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay on the inaugural day will carry officials from Southwest as well as media personnel.

The Jamaica Tourist Board will host a welcome reception in recognition of the inauguration of the flights into the island at the airport and follow-up with a luncheon presentation at Half Moon Resort.

Minister of Tourism and Entertainment, Dr Wykeham McNeill will participate in the day’s activities.

Senior Director, International Business Management at Southwest Airlines, John Kirby will also be making a special presentation.
