Sean Paul—-
ORGANIZERS of the Montreal International Reggae Festival have announced three more Jamaican acts for its annual show to be held in that French-Canadian city, on August 15-17.
Sean Paul, I-Octane and Demarco are to join lover’s rock singers Maxi Priest and Sanchez, and reggae queen Marcia Griffiths for the three-day event.
When the first set of acts was named late last month, organizers noted the line-up will reflect a blend of emerging and established acts in order to cater to the varied taste of patrons.
Demarco, according to them, embodies a new era of avant-garde artists combining songwriting, music production, recording, and live performance.
The 41-year-old Grammy winner, Sean Paul will headline the roster of acts for Saturday night’s staging, while dreadlocked singer I-Octane will be making his debut.
The 10-year-old Montreal International Reggae Festival is becoming one of the major stops on the international reggae festival calendar and stands toe-to-toe with some of its more established counterparts in North America and Europe.
