Just hours after being released, Tessanne Chin’s new album has already found its way into the iTunes albums chart.

The album, Count On My Love, was released yesterday, and by 2 p.m. (on the same day), the album was already at number six on the chart, only coming behind acts like Sam Smith, Robin Thicke, Ed Sheeran, Magic! and Hillsong Worship.

The album was released under Republic Records and marks Chin’s first album from a major label. It has 10 songs, including Tumbling Down and Everything Reminds Me Of You, which were previously released singles.

“Oh snap !!! #CountOnMyLove #OutNow #itunes #walmart thank you all so much!!! I couldn’t even begin to do this without you. #SoGrateful,” Tessanne posted on her Instagram page along with a screenshot of the iTunes chart.

Count On My Love also comes six months after Chin won season five of the vocal competition ‘The Voice’ that aired on NBC.

While the album gains traction, Chin is headlining ‘The Voice Summer Tour 2014’ which began on June 21 in San Antonio, Texas, and will conclude in Redmond, Washington, on August 2.

Prior to yesterday’s album release, there was also a Twitter album release party on Monday evening from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

But it is no surprise that her album is doing well, as she frequented the USA’s iTunes Top 100 Songs chart on numerous occasions while she was competing on ‘The Voice’ and secured the top spot with renditions of I Have Nothing and Let It Be.

Chin’s previous album was In Between Words that was independently released in 2010.
