KINGSTON, Jamaica —

One week after performing on NBC’sTonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, reggae singer Chronixx experienced a sales boost for his EP Dread & Terrible and the song Here Comes Trouble.

Dread & Terrible, which was released in April, sold 2,092 copies since last July 22 (when Chronixx appeared on ‘Tonight’) for total sales of 4,790 copies. Two weeks earlier, only 367 copies were sold.

That surge has pushed Dread & Terrible into the number one spot on the Billboard Reggae Album chart, a position it held in April.

Last week’s number one, Count Me In by California reggae band Rebelution, is at number two with 28,726 copies sold, eight weeks after its release.

Here Comes Trouble, the song Chronixx performed on ‘Tonight’, sold over 6,148 copies to jump from number 19 to number two on the Billboard Digital Reggae Singles chart. To date the single has sold 12,476 copies.

The number one single on the Reggae Digital chart is Rude by Canadian reggae band MAGIC! which has sold 1.9 million copies.

Other Chronixx titles which have popped up on this week’s Billboard Digital Reggae Singles chart are Smile Jamaica (number 48) which sold 483 downloads to bring its tally to 6,016; Capture Land (number 77) which sold 288 downloads for total sales of 1,170; and Who Knows (featuring Protojé) at number 84. The latter sold 259 copies for sales of 3,998 copies.
