THE informative History Man, who has played the European club and festival scene for several years, is currently in France performing with French band, Skamelia.
The singer has been in France since June and is also working on his third album, Higher Ites.
To date, he has performed on the Moove Les Minimes Festival, Mongiscard for France Music Day and Launac: Festival Wassa ‘N’ Africa.
“This trip will be extended to Germany, Portugal and
Switzerland. While in France, History Man is doing collaborations with a number of French artists,” his publisher, Tony Mack, told the Jamaica Observer.
Many of the spoken word performer’s songs are tributes to black leaders and musical heroes. They include Biography of Haile Selassie I, Marcus Garvey History, Bob Marley Story, Dennis Brown Tribute, and Miss Lou Tribute.
Since appearing on the 1992 Tastee Talent Contest, the Informative History Man, whose given name is Andrew Kiffin, has maintained a steady recording routine. He has performed throughout Europe, the Caribbean, North America and South America.
