Nikki Z to host upcoming talent show.

Production on Dancehall’s Got Talent, a new television show scheduled to air in October, starts Friday in New York City.

It will be broadcast on OmniPresent Media and OPM Digital Network.

The show’s publicist, Malaika Lepine, says its objective is to expose new talent.

“It gives opportunities for upcoming talent to really showcase and represent their culture in a way all reggae and dancehall music lovers can enjoy.”

The 18-episode series will be hosted by Nicole ‘Nikki Z’ Duhaney. There are three judges: singer Ed Robinson, Irie Jam Radio’s DJ Roy and fashion personality Dougie Platinum.

Dancehall’s Got Talent was created by LA Wright and Kevin Beswick who are also executive producers along with Irie Jam’s Bobby Clarke.

The winner receives US$5,000 and a recording contract.
