SINGJAY Humbleton recently teamed up with singer Chrisinti for the single Hotter The Battle. Co-produced by Joel Edwards, Humbleton and Chrisinti, the song is on the Tonic rhythm created by Myaz Werks Productions.
Born Oswald Burt in Hopewell, Hanover, Humbleton has been doing music professionally since 1992. He relocated to Kingston for greater recording opportunities, then returned west to Montego Bay where he cut his first single in 2005.
The following year, he migrated to the United States. Humbleton has since appeared on live events throughout the tri-state area including the popular Irie Jamboree in Queens, New York.
Over the years, he has recorded for a number of producers including Black Scorpio, Startrail and Hype Zone. In addition to Hotter The Battle, his latest singles include Love is What She Need, Love for a Reason and On Top of The World.
For Humbleton, it has always been about music.
“Music has always been in my surroundings. Both my parents loved music, attended church and played music in the home. Music was a regular thing in the community, as sound systems were common in the area,” he said.
