SWISS-born reggae recording artist Cali P is satisfied with the buzz his latest EP is generating.
The nine-track set, Healing of the Nation, was released last month and produced on the Hemp Higher Production label.
The set contains tracks including My Home, Wa Gwaan, Bed Of Roses, and Solution.
According to Cali P, who has called Jamaica home for the last four years, the set is gaining traction in the European market.
“It feels great that the set is getting commercial acclaim in Europe. There is no doubt about it; reggae fans have been anticipating the Healing of the Nation and I am pleased that they really love it,” he said.
Cali P (given name Pierre Nanon) just completed a 10-show tour promoting his latest EP in Europe, Canada and the Caribbean.
“My band is incredible. They bring the EP to life every time I hit the stage. We have great chemistry and now I have a solid show that can compete with almost anyone in reggae music today,” he said.
The Swiss Rastafarian, who has been in the music business for the past 13 years, said he is thankful he made the decision to reside in reggae’s spiritual home.
“I am thankful every day that I really made this decision to come here. Musically, it makes my possibilities unlimited because I really get to work with the people I like to work with. No one is out of reach. You can always reach your musician brethrens and sistrens,” Cali P said.
His other recordings include D’Sunne Schiint, Like a Lion (Hot Steppa) and No Time.
