THE compilation album, Ghetto Youths Presents: Set Up Shop Volume 2, debuts at number one on the Billboard Reggae Album chart.
Volume 1 also opened at number one in February 2013.
Produced by the Marley family’s Ghetto Youths International label (GYI), Volume 2 has 14 tracks, mostly by acts signed to GYI, as well as established acts.
Among its songs are Hard Work (Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley; The Living Breed (Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Black-Am-I, Biggz General, Jo Mersa and Illestr8; On The Corner (Wayne Marshall); Roller Coaster (Christopher Ellis); and Bongo Nyah (Stephen Marley featuring Spragga Benz and Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley.
GYI was established in 2002 by the Marley brothers — Ziggy, Stephen, Damian and Julian — to expose fresh talent.
After a lull, the label re-launched two years ago with Set Up Shop Vol 1 and a two-week tour of the United States.
