 Denette Lewis was born on May 3 in Kingston Jamaica. Originated from humble beginnings, she spent half of her early childhood days in Clarendon ,where she first started singing at the age of 3 within the church settings. After spending couple years in Clarendon she went through the transition of moving back into Kingston at age 8 where she continue singing in church with her sister Noreta Lewis and other family members.  While attending Kingston Technical High School, Dejah was very instrumental in the leadership of the school choir where she made great strides within her vocal career. After finishing school she got more involved in music full time where it became a career and started singing professionally. Months after she started working with gospel artist such as Goody Goody, Jai and Judy Mowatt where she garnered more recognition which landed her gigs on a tour working with
Alborosie on a European tour.

Dejah has been credited with her work with artists such as Beres Hammond, Queen Ifrica and Tony Rebel, Mr Vegas, Junior Kelly, Natural Black, Sizzla, I-Octane and Tessanne Chin. The songstress has just release her newest song on Kelly Tucker Record label, cover song of the talented J.C. Lodge 80’s hit titled “Telephone Love”. Presently Dejah is in the studios completing other tracks and working  with other producers as she intends to complete an album with supporting music video by summer 2015.
