Rising star Chelsea Stewart is set to perform at this year’s Carassauga Festival of Cultures in Mississauga, Ontario, May 24th . The young starlet, who just celebrated her birthday, plans to give her audience cover songs from greats like Bob Marley, Nana McLean, Billy Holiday, and Etta James, in addition to her original compositions including songs from her EP The Only One.

Hosted by Carassauga and attended by over 327,000 plus attendees, the Festival of Cultures is the second largest multicultural festival of its kind in Canada, which invites citizen groups from different countries of origin to promote public awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of their cultures and respect fellow Canadians of differing heritage. The common thread that all cultures can relate to is music, which is what Chelsea Stewart will provide via her performance.  Drawing on her classical training, and combining that with her Jamaican and Canadian culture, Chelsea plans to give the audience at the Festival of Cultures a musical experience it won’t soon forget.About her upcoming performance, Chelsea said “Music is the one thing that unites all of us.  It’s the one thing that we can all understand no matter what language we speak, so I’m excited to perform for people of so many different backgrounds!”
