MONTEGO BAY, St James —

Dancehall singjay Dexta Daps had his bail extended again when he appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The entertainer, whose given name is Louis Grandison, is facing charges of obstructing the police; the use of indecent language; resisting arrest; and assault occasioning bodily harm, following an altercation he had with the police at the Sangster International Airport in St James, on April 27.

The matter has been adjourned until November 18.

The judge ordered that the three absent witnesses, who are all cops, be present when the matter is again called up in November.

Attorney-at-law Martin Thomas held for Peter Champagnie, who is representing Dexta Daps.

The Seaview Gardens-born artist is known for songs including 7Eleven, Pretty Nicky, This a the Best and Jealous Ova, a collaboration with dancehall artiste Tifa.
