Bobby Tenna—

TO hardcore roots fans Bobby Tenna has made his mark throughout northern California, a traditionally strong area for ‘foundation’ reggae.

But for his latest recording, he hails pop group Black Eyed Peas by covering their 2003 hit song Where is The Love.

“It’s just a song I really liked all along. I also felt it was still meaningful and relevant in these times when there is so much injustices happening worldwide especially in the poorer communities,” said 41-year-old Tenna in an interview with Splash.

Tenna’s version of Where is The Love is self-produced for his WileFiya Inc label. It is the precursor to New Roots, his third album.

No release date has been set for New Roots which hears Tenna in more familiar territory. Where is The Love is a nod to his eclectic tastes.

“I listen to all kinds music because I love music. It is very important to keep up with what’s going on musically,” he said.
